Lonely

Surrounded by His creations
Angels’s worship and praise
Worlds and stars, His machinations
Glory to Him all will raise
But the perfect One is lonely
Three in One, but still alone
He forever is the One and Only
His overwhelming glory forever shone
Angels surrounding hide their faces
Unable to look upon their King
So in His mind an idea races
“Come, let’s make the Heavens ring”
He forms the earth from nothing
He speaks the stars into the air
Fishes swim, bright birds sing
As He kneels to the ground in care
A man takes form from the dust
Someone He can call a friend
He gives them all, to earn their trust
But this joy would come to end
For man chose to believe a lie
And ignored his Creator’s pleas
Because he sinned, all must die
The enemy brought him to his knees
And God was left alone again
No one to look upon His face
He cannot abide the sight of sin
Doom, thus, to the human race
But He would not let them fall
Without a chance to be redeemed
Though the world was minute, small
It was one that He esteemed
From His head He removes His crown
And takes up dirt within in His hand
To this earth He would come down
And for our souls, take a stand
In our humanity He masked perfection
He hid His divinity from our eye
Shielding us, for our protection
He came down from on high
And never more will He be lonely
For He saved us with His death
To spend eternity, we need only
To choose Him with every breath
